The “red dot”, is an internationally recognized quality label for excellent design. The red dot award: design concept is the only international design competition to accept ideas and prototypes from all levels in the design industry, including product companies and design studios.
This year, 3,023 projects from 55 countries were presented to the jury. From out of the entries, 180 were selected for the red dot award for high design quality. Another 29 received the distinction red dot: best of the best for outstanding design quality. Each red dot: best of the best is automatically nominated for the red dot: luminary, the top award at the red dot award: design concept.
This year’s winner of the red rot Luminary Award is the CTRUS ball, by AGENT.
